In 2020 Bishop McKee introduced the Journey Toward Racial Justice initiative as a way for the North Texas Conference to acknowledge and dismantle racism in our churches and the communities we serve. Today we’re proud to partner with Project Unity to bring Together We Dine events to our local churches as a means to engage in important dialogue.
Together We Dine engages participants in courageous, facilitated conversations and will help move us forward in our Journey Toward Racial Justice work. Network with a diverse group of community members and share a meal as you engage in courageous and safe conversations about race relations, tell your experiences and listen to the stories of your fellow diners.
By discussing our beliefs and differences over lunch or dinner, we hope that the Together We Dine experience will continue to prove that what unites us is greater than what divides us.
