CitySquare Paris
- Needs volunteers to sort donations for tornado victims Mon-Fri 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
- CitySquare Paris is the shelter during the day and they partner with Lamar Avenue Church of Christ for overnight shelter .
Garland Overnight Warming Shelter (GLOWS)
GLOWS is open when the forecast is a wind chill of 32 degrees with a 20% chance of precipitation or wind chill of 28 degrees regardless of precipitation.
Oak Lawn UMC
- The OLUMC Warming Shelter will be open Jan. 30-Feb. 3. There are a number of shifts and volunteer opportunities that help ensure our neighbors are safe and warm during this time. Volunteers can serve for a four-hour block of time, helping with anything from handing out meals to registering guests.
- The shelter to looking for churches to sponsor meals (breakfast and dinner). They can come cook it in OLUMC's kitchen, bring it already made or have something ordered for delivery or pickup. Email Taylor Tompkins or call her at 214-649-0942.
Plano Overnight Warming Station (POWS)
- POWS will be open on nights when the forecasted temperature is 35 degrees with a 20 percent chance of precipitation or a standing temperature of 32 degrees or below is anticipated.

- Supplies have depleted due to the recent cold weather. Donations needed:
- Travel-size toiletries
- Underwear
- Coats
Warren UMC
- WUMC will provide shelter to 50 unsheltered neighbors in collaboration with Oak Lawn when the City of Dallas activates (32 degrees or colder if dry; if wet, 36 degrees or below for 3+ hours from 4 p.m.-8 a.m.)
- They are in need of donations:
- Bottled water
- Volunteers (5 p.m.-7 a.m., you don't have to volunteer the entire overnight shift)
- Food (a prepared meal or restaurant that will feed up to 70)
- Toiletries (undergarments, hygiene, wash cloths, soap, etc.)
- Cleaning supplies (disinfectant spray/wipes, laundry soap, bleach, dish soap)
