During the Nurture stage the challenge for the church is to live into the vision that the Planter has developed. The Planter and team must cultivate the life of the worshiping community, implement the processes for missional engagement, as well as actualize the discipleship pathway and leadership development. In the midst of all of this the team must constantly assess the effectiveness of their strategies and adapt when necessary.
If the culture isn’t nurtured then churches can become reactionary instead of proactive and
default into negative/self-focused behavior that becomes destructive to the vision.
The Planter continues to receive support from its Support Star. Planters are also encouraged and resourced to attend one learning event each year. They are invited to stay connected to the Genesis cohort through presenting at the retreats and leading the webinars.
