Consider Serving in a Leadership Position with the NTC

AC 2018

Nominations process for 2019 now open

The Conference Nominating Committee will begin meeting in the coming months to fill openings on various boards, agencies and committees of the North Texas Conference. These openings provide wonderful leadership opportunities for creative and motivated people – both laity and clergy – who desire to offer their skills, gifts and talents to further the good of the conference and the local church.

NTC logoTo be considered for a role, an individual must complete a Nominations Profile Sheet, available on the North Texas Conference website. This is the first and primary resource used by the committee before anything else is considered, as it provides the Nominations Committee with basic information that allows the committee to place the most-qualified person into a vacancy, along with a commitment for inclusive leadership.

In addition, a Leadership Nominations Booklet, also posted on the NTC website, details the committees and positions available. Those interested in a position can use this as a guide to research opportunities and decide where they can best serve, based on position description and an individual’s gifts and graces. For our leadership groups to do effective, quality work, the members need to be people with a special interest in a specific area and the gifts to get the work done.

We need clergy and laity to fill open leadership positions in the conference so we have the most creative and productive groups working on behalf of our conference and local churches.  Please prayerfully consider submitting a profile sheet, and encourage leaders around you to do the same. The strength of our conference is reflected in the strength of our servant leaders – and vice versa – and, with your help, we can continue to be a thriving and vibrant witness to the world.
