Rev. Jodi Smith Retiring As Director Of Center For Connectional Resources
Longtime NTC administrator, pastor’s departure effective Nov. 1, 2020
Rev. Jodi Smith, who has served as director of the North Texas Conference’s Center for Connectional Resources since 2011, has announced her retirement effective Nov. 1, 2020. As a part of her current role, Rev. Smith also jointly serves as the conference’s treasurer and chief benefits officer in addition to being a member of the Extended Cabinet.
“Jodi’s service in the North Texas Annual Conference exemplified her Christian faith and her commitment to the stewardship of the conference’s physical and financial assets,” Bishop Michael McKee said. “She has gathered and formed a team of persons who share her commitment to the stewardship of the Annual Conference. I am deeply grateful for her work and her service. Please join me in wishing Jodi well as she prepares to enter this new phase of life.”
Rev. Smith, who in 2009 was ordained as an Elder in Full Connection, previously was appointed to four NTC churches: Celina, First UMC Rowlett, Wylie and Blue Ridge.
