The Faith Community Nursing Program at Methodist Health System forms partnerships with area faith communities in an effort to improve the physical and spiritual health of the people in these congregations. This ministry provides guidance, shares resources and assists leaders in meeting the health and wellness needs of these communities of faith.
The church has been intimately involved with the concept of wholeness, wellness and healing since its inception. This program embodies the belief in the unity of body, mind and spirit, a concept deeply rooted in scripture, sacred texts and tradition.
Faith Community Nursing is an intentional ministry within congregations that gives these concepts and ideas a visible presence. The Faith Community Nurse works with the pastor, leadership and other caring individuals to fulfill the healing mission of the church.
