Consider A Meal Sponsorship To Help Serve Up Gratitude

Delivered meals

First UMC Dallas has joined the initiative to thank DISD teachers

Many area entities – chief among them The Thanks-Giving Foundation, One+One Dallas at First UMC Dallas and Faith Forward Dallas at Thanks-Giving Square – are working together to Serve Up Gratitude to teachers.

Serving Up Gratitude, an initiative of The Thanks-Giving Foundation, has been providing meals to our hometown healthcare and front-line heroes as a thank you for their courageous fight against COVID-19. Now, with your support, they will do the same for teachers.

Meals will be purchased from area restaurants to deliver to teachers. So not only are educators being thanked, but local restaurants are benefiting, too. The initial focus is on Dallas ISD schools in the southern sector, but Serving Up Gratitude hopes to expand to serve all Dallas ISD schools and beyond.

Many restaurants, including Campisi's, Meddlesome Moth and Pecan Lodge, have provided meals to front-line workers through Serve Up Gratitude.

This is a perfect opportunity for a person, worship group or church to come together to support teachers.

Serve Up Gratitude allows you to buy one meal for a teacher ($10) are enough for a school full of teachers (elementary $750, middle school $1,500 or high school $2,500). Donations can be made here. With your donation, you are invited to choose a school to support.
