Bishop Saenz Calls For A Special Session On Dec. 2

Voting members took part of the legislative process at the North Texas Annual Conference 2023.

Dear Clergy and Laity of the North Texas Annual Conference,

In accordance with our standing rules and ¶603.5 of The Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church, I hereby call for a special session of the North Texas Annual Conference to convene on Dec. 2, 2023, beginning at 9 a.m. CST.  The special session will be conducted in person at First United Methodist Church of Richardson (503 N. Central Expressway, Richardson 75080) and shall include the following business:

• Consideration of resolutions calling for the disaffiliation of local churches from The United Methodist Church per the provisions of ¶2553 of the Book of Discipline.
• Consideration of a 2024 budget for the North Texas Annual Conference.

Further information regarding the session and its business will be sent to the members of the North Texas Annual Conference and posted on the conference website in the coming weeks.
