Music Director:

Reporting Relationship:      

The Music Director will report directly to the Senior Pastor. He or she will be considered a staff member and will have to attend staff meetings and worship committee meetings when scheduled by the Pastor.

 (Permanent)

The Music Director will work as scheduled throughout the week for planning, rehearsing, and for worship services. On call for weddings, funerals, and other dedicated events. This Staff member will work with the praise team as well as congregational volunteers.

Position Purpose:

To minister to the church through music. The Music Director shall aid in creating an atmosphere for Worship.

Duties:

  • The Music Director will manage all the music of the church for all events and services
  • Support spiritual growth and leadership for the music department
  • Accompany soloists and ensembles as needed
  • Assist  in maintenance of Music Library and Choir folders
  • Assist in the preparation of music as needed for rehearsals
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities as delegated by Pastor, or Staff Pastor Parish Relations Committee (SPPRC)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
