Position Title: Ministry Coordinator – Small Groups, Evangelism, Audio/Video, and Grants
Reports To: Senior Pastor
FLSA Status: Part-Time, Exempt
Hours: 20–25 hours per week
Salary: Commensurate with experience and church budget

Position Summary:
This multi-faceted role is for a highly motivated individual called to support the church in four vital areas: Small Group Ministry, Evangelism, Audio/Video Production, and Grant Writing. This role requires a flexible and creative leader who is comfortable working behind the scenes and out in the community. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy, mission-minded, and culturally grounded in the realities of urban ministry.
Key Responsibilities:
Small Group Ministry
- Develop and oversee small group curriculum rooted in Methodist theology and relevant to urban life.
- Recruit, train, and support small group leaders and track engagement and spiritual growth.
Evangelism & Outreach
- Coordinate community outreach events and follow-up systems for new visitors.
- Work with ministry teams to create a culture of invitation, hospitality, and neighborhood engagement.
Audio/Video & Worship Tech
- Oversee live stream and audio/video operations for worship services and events.
- Ensure quality sound, visuals, and recordings, and provide basic training for volunteer tech teams.
Grant Writing & Resource Development
- Research, write, and manage grant applications that support the church’s mission and programs.
- Maintain a grants calendar, meet deadlines, and provide reports as required by funders.

Qualifications:
- Deep commitment to Christ and the mission of the United Methodist Church
- Experience in at least two of the four key areas listed (training available for the rest)
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time, multitask, and work independently
- Familiarity with African American church culture and urban ministry is strongly preferred
Hours & Expectations:
- 20–25 hours per week including Sunday worship, planning time, and occasional evening events
- Flexibility required to meet grant deadlines and tech demands
