Job Description

Job Summary: First United Methodist Church of Allen is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Ministry Director to lead and oversee our children's programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the Christian faith, a love for working with children, and the ability to create a nurturing and engaging environment for spiritual growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee all aspects of the children's ministry for children infant-6^th grade, including Sunday mornings, worship readiness, Vacation Bible School, and special events.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers to ensure a safe and effective ministry.
• Collaborate with church staff and leadership to integrate children's ministry with the overall mission and vision of the church.
• Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children and families.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate worship, educational activities, and service projects.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed and engaged.
• Manage the children's ministry budget and resources effectively.

Qualifications:

• A strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to the teachings of the United Methodist Church.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Child Development, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in children's ministry or a similar role.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with church staff, volunteers, and families.
• A heart for children and a passion for their spiritual growth and development.

Position Minimum Salary: 40,000
