Job Description
Aldersgate UMC and Vista Ridge UMC are launching The Open Table Youth Collective—an innovative, collaborative ministry designed to transform how churches serve young people together. We're looking for a Founding Area Director to help lead this movement.
This isn't a maintenance role. It's a chance to build a thriving ministry from the ground up that equips students, empowers volunteers, partners with families, and creates new ways for youth to experience the love of Christ—in churches and throughout the community.
What You'll Do

Inspire and lead vibrant youth ministry across two partner churches

Recruit, coach, and encourage amazing volunteers

Build relationships with students, parents, schools, and community partners

Create innovative programs, events, retreats, and outreach opportunities

Develop young leaders and help shape the future of collaborative ministry

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

3+ years of youth ministry or comparable leadership experience

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Experience recruiting and developing volunteers

United Methodist or collaborative ministry experience is a plus

$70,000–$82,000 salary (based on experience)
