Position Overview

The Facilities Supervisor oversees and provides for the effective management of general maintenance and repairs to FUMC Plano campus.

Major Responsibilities

  1. Up to 25 hours per week Monday-Friday and occasional Saturday/Sunday for special events.
  2. Proactively monitor building and grounds for maintenance needs and operational improvements.
  3. Prioritize and coordinate with FUMC Plano and Weekday Program Staff to execute maintenance requests and repairs.
  4. Obtain bids as required, negotiate terms for work to be contracted out, and oversee all work performed by on-site contractors.
  5. Plan and comply with maintenance and inspection schedules relating to all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
  6. Set the HVAC system according to the meetings and events scheduled on the church calendar.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Attention to Personal Spiritual practice.
  2. Knowledge and ability to manage requests from Staff for repairs.
  3. Experience in general repairs and maintenance
  4. Computer skills to access requests by email
  5. Good people skills and experience working with contractors and bids for work needed. 

 

Accountability

  • The Director of Business Administration will supervise the Facilities Supervisor.
