Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a full-time Director of Student Ministries, Families and community outreach to further Stonebridge UMC’s mission to make disciples for Jesus Christ by stiving to live and love like Jeus. This position will encompass a focus on the growth of both teens and adults with an emphasis on attracting and engaging families. The ideal candidate has a heart for discipleship and the community.

Overview

• Plan and implement age and developmentally appropriate ministries for Junior High and High School students. (20+ hrs. per week)
• Work with Connections Pastor in planning and implementing new study group ministries for adults. (10 hrs. per wk.)
• Encourage new members and guests to participate in study groups, by encouraging them to join a Sunday Class or be involved in a weekly study group.
• Work with Servant Ministry Team to plan and implement outreach events. (10 hrs. per wk.)

A Successful Candidate Will Have

• A deep spiritual relationship with Jesus
• A call to bring engagement to the church body through ministry programs
• A track record of growing discipleship programs in a medium-to-large church environment
• Experience in organizing and leading volunteer-based teams 
• Strong interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in related fields preferred
• Has physical capacity required for the job
• 5-10 years’ experience in church ministry
