Job Description
Time: 6-8 hours weekly
Sunday time commitment is approximately 8am to 12:30pm
with Worship Staff meeting at 10a on Tuesdays (in person or online)
Line of Accountability: Accountable to Minister of Worship and The Arts,
with oversight by Senior Pastor.
Salary: $16,900 yearly (paid bi-monthly)
Duties:

Manage Sunday morning technical needs for worship which include
-
Setting up and tearing down mics, monitors, and other A/V equipment
-
Collaborating with worship staff on Sunday morning needs
-
Running livestream and ensuring that it loads to church platforms (Facebook, YouTube, website as of May 2026)

Leading and directing A/V team on camera, sound, and ProPresenter slide deck

Cropping portions of worship to use for social media (i.e. sermons, songs, special events)

Work alongside Minister of Worship and the Arts to:

Grow A/V Team with both adults and youth.

Communicate with and schedule youth AV interns and parents/legal guardians for Sunday mornings.

Submit monthly payroll for youth AV Interns.

Oversee A/V personnel for all A/V events at White Rock UMC.

Troubleshoot A/V and network equipment when there are problems.

Proficiency in Behringer X32 sound system, ProPresenter, WireCast, Subsplash as well as audio/visual, lighting, and recording equipment

Run A/V for Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday worship services

This position includes the opportunity to run AV for weddings, funerals, and other events as available, for an additional rate of pay per event paid by third party

Benefits: Four paid Sundays off per year, scheduled in advance with approval by Minister of Worship and The Arts. In case of illness or emergency, Minister of Worship and The Arts will be notified directly.
