Dave Farish's Bio
Dave Farish is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and is a Captain for a major airline where he just passed his 29th year of service. Dave serves our Annual Conference as Associate Conference Lay Leader for Lay Initiatives and is a member of Flower Mound UMC. He serves on FMUMC’s Discipleship Team and the Committee on Nominations and Leadership Development, and on the Conference’s Episcopacy Committee and the Committee on the Status and Role of Women (COSROW). Dave has served the North Texas Conference for over 20 years on the Board of Ordained Ministry, the Center for Leadership Development Advisory Board, and the Bishop’s Task Force on Clergy Effectiveness, and now the Board of Laity. He also is a past Lay Director of the Denton Area Emmaus Community. He and his wife Melissa have one daughter (past youth Denman Award winner) who’s a junior at Abilene Christian University.
