Rev. Edlen Cowley's Bio

Rev. Edlen Cowley has served as an ordained clergyperson in the NTC since 2000. After earning a degree in Government and Politics from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1993, he entered Perkins School of Theology where he earned his Masters of Divinity degree in 1999.  Edlen was an Assistant/Associate Pastor at St. Luke “Community” UMC (1994-2002) and an Associate/Campus Pastor at St. Andrew UMC (2006-2014). He has started two new churches: a multi-ethnic church, The East Grand/Owenwood Foundry Church  (2003-2006), and a suburban church, St. Andrew Frisco/Connection UMC (2010-2014). Since 2014, Edlen has served as Senior Pastor of Fellowship UMC. Edlen currently serves as the NTC's Chair of the Journey Toward Racial Justice and President of the African-American Clergy Fellowship. He also served on the NTC's Black Church Initiative Leadership Team.
