Job Description

  • Serve as community manager of and develop content and strategy (with Director of Communications) for all social channels of the North Texas Conference (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and Bishop Michael McKee (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) – including maintaining monthly, quarterly and annual social metrics
  • Liaise (with the Director of Communications) with the conference video team on all NTC video needs (brainstorming, storyboarding, scripting, pre-interview and interview processes, editing and final production)
  • Develop content for (in conjunction with Director of Communications) and work with Manager of Web Services on production of NTC Connection newsletter and Clergy Update
  • Liaise with representatives of the Center for Leadership Development, Center for Missional Outreach and Center for Church Development to assess communications needs
  • Maintain North Texas Conference external calendar
  • Cultivate relationships with and develop professional community for local-church communicators
  • Alongside the Director of Communications, develop and maintain an overall brand and communications strategy for the North Texas Conference – including owned/paid/shared/earned strategies as well as crisis communications planning
  • Assist with annual communications department budget planning
