Job Description

Melissa UMC is searching for an Office Manager to oversee functions related to database, facilities, financial oversight and communications. They should have high levels of organization and communication skills.

Melissa UMC is a new church in north Collin County with a coffee shop in our building. We have an entrepreneurial culture. We work hard, do new things and function with a high level of collaboration. Ideal candidates for this position would thrive when working with a high functioning team in a fast paced, innovative environment and when empowering others to work together on specific tasks or functions.


  • Database management: updating membership information and status, capture new guest information, oversee Sunday morning check-in process and track attendance
  • Facilities usage: manage our room usage and calendaring system, coordinate facility usage with outside groups, oversee maintenance and subcontractor agreements
  • Financial oversight: oversee Sunday morning counters and prepare contributions report, work with Lead Pastor on check requests, invoices, and budget oversight and preparation processes
  • Electric communications: prepare weekly email communications, create content and monitor social media accounts, manage advertising and community connections

Part-time, 20 hours per week, salary, non-exempt. We are a growing church so this position has the potential to grow.
