Qualifications
- Knowledge of the beliefs, doctrines and teachings of The United Methodist Church
- Passion for youth and Youth Ministry
- Basic knowledge of youth development and the ability to relate to the youth of the church
- Evidence of a healthy and growing spiritual life
- Skills for planning and implementing ministry
- Ability to train and lead volunteers
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and plan the youth ministry with the pastor, other staff and the Church Leadership Board.
- Having a noticed presence on Sunday Morning during worship
- Planning and leading the Wednesday Night Youth Program
- Planning and leading other outside activities
- Oversight of youth ministry budget and account
- Maintaining an adequate list of Ministry Safe trained volunteers
- Be a team player in the ministry of the church
