Job Description

The accompanist must work closely with the Director of Music Ministry and Senior Pastor. 

Reporting: Director of Music Ministry

Expectations

• Employee
  • 13-hour standard work week (flexible or time-shifted hours depending on church schedule)
  • Maintain good work attendance.
  • Physical requirements: able to lift 25 pounds; able to twist and turn when reaching for items.
• Church
  • Maintain good work attendance.
  • Provide 13 hours of paid time off per year.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings.
  • Provide supplies, equipment and tools necessary to do the job.
  • Good relational skills; team player.
  • Must take Ministry Safe training and pass background check.
  • Must possess education and skills suitable to staff title.
  • Reimbursement responsibility for substitutes (when PTO exhausted) will be determined on a case by case basis and must be approved by the Senior Pastor and SPRC.
• Duties
  • Provide organ/piano music for worship service and rehearsals
  • Oversee organ improvements and maintenance
  • Collaborate with other ministry staff regarding worship planning.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
