Job Description
The Administrative Assistant of the Center for Leadership Development (CLD) serves as the key interface between the Center for Leadership Development and the Annual Conference. This position relates primarily to the Director and provides administrative support to the staff of the CLD. Expected availability is 30-40 hours per week (may include occasional weekends, some local travel required). Compensation is commensurate with experience and agreeable upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative services for the CLD director and staff (currently 4.25 staff positions)
- Work efficiently, professionally and jointly with the staff, laity and clergy of the North Texas Annual Conference, and our partners
- Plan logistics, coordinate and attend events/meetings/retreats
- Process all the CLD’s accounts payables and receivables
- Develop and maintain regular and effective communication for the Center for Leadership Development (i.e. monthly e-newsletter, social media and website updates)
- Maintain and process registration for CLD events and retreats
- Manage monthly expense reports for the CLD staff
- Manage Zoom webinars and meetings for the CLD staff and committees
- Develop, coordinate, and complete CLD mass mailings
- Manage and update shared CLD calendar
- Create, format and produce images, flyers, brochures, presentations, etc.
- Create or facilitate creation of unique event logos/branding as needed
- Ensure NTC CLD branding utilized as necessary and properly
- Collaborate and coordinate with the Ministry Center staff
- Other duties as assigned by the CLD Director and staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent), 2-year college degree preferred
- Demonstrate a calm, always caring and professional demeanor
- Ability to be a problem solver as well as solicit and identify problems/issues within the conference/staff
- Motivated, self-starter, and capable of working independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Salesforce, and Mailchimp
- Experience in utilizing accounting programs such as Shelby Systems
- Familiarity with graphic design and experience using Adobe Creative Cloud programs and/or Canva preferred
- Technology skills required for hosting online events and meetings.
- Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality when receiving data, information, and correspondence relevant to projects, services, and events.
- Bilingual skills preferred (English, Spanish, Korean)
Supervision
The Administrative Assistant serves under the supervision of the Director for The Center for Leadership Development.
