Arapaho UMC: Director of Music Ministries
Date Posted: 10/19/2023
Arapaho UMC, Richardson, TX
Job Description
Arapaho UMC is looking for the right person to lead us in developing our Music Ministries for the future. We are seeking to offer creative, intentional, authentic worship that features the many gifts of our congregation. Ideal candidates would have technical skills associated with “classical” worship styles (conducting a choir, knowledge of hymnody and liturgy, etc.) as well as creative gifts to incorporate various musical styles into the worship services.
At AUMC, we currently worship in one service, and our goal is to continue developing a unique style of worship that embraces the tensions between “traditional” and “modern” and everything in between; we love Broadway and Bob Dylan, hymns and “The Highwomen.” As a diverse and LGBTQ+-affirming congregation, it is important that our music ministries reflect the beautiful tapestry of people who call AUMC “home.”
