Job Description

Arapaho UMC is a forward-leaning congregation seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to assist the Pastor of Discipleship & Operations and the Director of Communications.

Qualifications

  • General understanding of church management systems (or other client relationship database management - CRM)

  • Understanding of social media platforms and posting items

  • Organized and detail oriented

  • Thoroughness in editing

  • Familiar with Google products and ProPresenter (preferable)

  • Ability to work with minimal direct supervision

  • Ability to deal with some confidential matters

Duties

  • Master Administrator for church database (CCB by Pushpay). Duties will include general database management, report prep and event posting/scheduling

  • Organize, manage and maintain digital file system

  • Post worship information and program to various platforms for use on Sunday morning

  • Support Pastor of Operations in building related matters by contacting vendors and managing maintenance requests. Maintains building related systems such as security, Ministry Safe, bus driver application process and key cards.

  • Review and schedule weekly newsletter 

  • Assist Treasurer with weekly counting/depositing cash, scanning checks and mailing quarterly giving statements

  • Assist with annual generosity campaign as needed

  • Assists the pastor in administrative tasks, as needed.
